Pensamento:
O Espírito Santo, que habita em nós, é uma garantia de uma glória maior que está por vir (2 Cor 1:22; 5:5). O Espírito é as primícias daquela glória que está para ser revelada em nós. (Rom 8:18). Nosso estado presente é só um prelúdio do que vem à frente. Nós ansiamos por ser revestidos com nossa residência celestial, e por estarmos na casa de Deus. (2 Cor 5:1-8)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The Holy Spirit, who lives in us, is our guarantee of a greater glory that is to come (cf. 2 Corinthians 1:22; 2 Corinthians 5:5). The Spirit is the firstfruits of that glory that is to be revealed in us (Romans 8:18). Our current state is only a foretaste of what lies ahead for us; we yearn to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling and to be at home with God (2 Corinthians 5:1-8).

Querido Pai, o Senhor me abençoou com tantas bênçãos maravilhosas. Eu lhe agradeço por cada uma delas. Ao mesmo tempo, querido Pai, eu anseio por ser levado à sua presença em glória, como seu filho. A dor e sofrimento do mundo, a fragilidade do meu corpo, e minha frustração com minha própria vulnerabilidade ao pecado fazem-me sempre desejar o dia em que seu Filho retornará em glória. My Prayer...
Dear Father, you have blessed me with so many wonderful blessings. I thank you for each and every one of them. At the same time, dear Father, I do long to be brought into your presence in glory as your child. The pain and heartache of the world, the fragility of my body, and my frustration with my own vulnerability to sin keeps me longing for the day that your Son returns in glory. Until that day, help me as I try to be your holy child. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
