ہم دنیا کی مخلوق ہیں۔ ہاں، ہم اِس سے کہیں بڑھ کر ہیں، لیکن موقع پر ہمیں یہ یاد دلایا جاتا ہے کہ ہم حقیقی طور پر وقت سے پہلے موجودگی کو محسوس نہیں کر سکتے، تاہم وقت کے شروع ہو نے سے پہلے جیسا کہ ہم یہ جانتے ہیں کہ، خُدا موجود تھا—اُس نے اپنے آپ کو "میں ہوں" کہہ کر ظاہر کیا وہ جو کہ تھا اور جو ہے اور جو آنے والا ہے۔ اِس سے پہلے کہ کائنات کی کوئی ترتیب تھی جو کہ موجودگی کی کوئی بنیاد فراہم کرتی، خُدا ہے "میں ہوں"۔ وہ ہماری کائنات کے تخلیق ہونے سے کہیں پہلے موجود تھا۔ یہاں تک کہ ہم اِس کو مکمل طور پر بیان بھی نہیں کر سکتے۔ اِس لیے ہر نئی شروعات—وہ نیا دن ہو، نیا ہفتہ، ایک سال، یا کہ ایک صدی—خُدا کے ساتھ شروع ہونا چاہیئے۔ وہ اکیلا ہی حتمی پیدائش ہے، ہماری شروعات۔
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
We are creatures of the earth. Yes, we are much more than that, but occasionally, we must be reminded of our earth-bound existence at this time in our lives! We can't truly understand existence before, beyond, or above time. Yet before the beginning of time, as we know it, God existed — he has revealed himself as "I Am," the one who was, who is, and who is to come. Before there was an ordered universe to provide the basis of our existence, God was "I Am" — existing in the past, present, and future simultaneously! He existed before, beyond, and without our created universe and the limitations of space and time. We can't truly comprehend this in its entirety. That's why every new beginning — a day, a week, a year, or a millennium — should begin with God. He alone is the ultimate Genesis, the "I Am" present at every new beginning.
میری دعا
قادرِ مطلق خالق اور تمام کائنات کے خُدا، میں تیری بے مثال طاقت اور بعیدالقیاس جلال کےلیے تیری حمد کرتا ہوں۔ جیسا کہ میں یہ نیا سال شروع کروں، میں جانتا ہوں کہ میرا مستقبل تیرے ہاتھوں،تیرے فضل، اور تیری نجات میں ہے۔ براہِ کرم جیسا کہ میں مستقبل کی طرف سفر کروں تُو میرے ساتھ ہو۔ براہِ کرم میں ایسی زندگی جئیوں کہ آج، اِس سال، اور جتنی کہ تُو مجھے زمین پر زندگی عطا فرمائےتُو جلال پائے۔ یسُوع کے نام میں مانگتا ہوں۔ آمین۔
My Prayer...
Almighty Creator and God of the universe, I praise you for your incomparable power and incomprehensible glory. As I begin this new year, I know my future rests in your will, grace, and salvation. Please go with me as I journey toward this new future. Please be glorified in how I live my life today, this year, and for as long as you give me earthly life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
