میں عام طور پر بائبل میں موجود نسب ناموں کو "جلدی بازی" میں پڑھ جاتا ہُوں۔ لیکن، آئیں پیچھے جانے کےلیے تھوڑا سا وقت نکالیں اور متّی 1 باب 1 تا 17 آیت کو پڑھیں اور اِس بات کو یاد کریں کہ خُدا کی بھلائی، شفقت، اور وفاداری نہ صرف اُن تمام پُشتوں میں جاری رہی، بلکہ اُن پُشتوں کو اُس نے برکت دی اور پھیلایا۔ جیسا کہ اُس نے ماضی میں کِیا، اور جیسا کہ ہم اُس کے بیٹے اور ہماری نجات دہندہ، خُداوند یسُوع مسِیح کے مُنتظر ہیں، خُدا آنے والے دِنوں میں اِس سے بھی بڑھ کر کرے گا۔
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
I usually "speed read" through the 'begats' (you know, through the genealogies in the Bible). But, let's take time today to go back and read Matthew 1:1-17 and be reminded that God's love, mercy, and faithfulness not only continued through all of those generations, but also blessed and nurtured each of those generations. As he has done in the past, God will do so even more in the days ahead as we await the glorious return of his Son and our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

قابلِ تبدیل اور غیرمںحصر دُنیا میں، پیارے باپ، میَں ثابت قدم، اور وفادار ہونے کےلیے تیرا شُکر ادا کرتا ہُوں۔ ایسے وقت میں جب ہر کوئی مُجھے سے کوئی اُمید لگا کر بیٹھا ہو، پیارے باپ، مُجھے لگاتار اور متواتر طور پر برکت بخشنے کے لیے تیرا شُکرہو۔ پہاڑوں سے زیادہ پائیدار اور خُوبصورت طلُوع آفتاب سے زیادہ شاندار ہونے کےلیے تیرا شُکرہو۔ یسُوع کے نام سے مانگتا ہُوں جو تیرا بیٹا اور میری شان ہے۔ آمین۔
My Prayer...
In a world of change and undependability, thank you, dear Father, for being sure, steadfast, and faithful. In a time when everyone seems to want something from me or out of me, thank you, dear Father, for repeatedly and consistently blessing me. Thank you for being more enduring than the mountains and more glorious than the most beautiful sunrise. In the name of Jesus, your Son and my glory. Amen.
