یہ الفاظ نئے گیتوں کی طرح لگتے ہیں کیا نہیں لگتے: "تیری محبت زندگی سے بہتر ہے"۔ ہاں یہ محبت کا گیت ہے؛ یہ صرف نیا نہیں ہے۔ صحرا میں، داؤد خُدا کے لیے اپنے انتظار کے بارے میں بتاتا ہے۔ وہ پہچانتا ہے کہ اگر وہ خُدا کی محبت کے بغیر زندگی بسر کرے گا تو زندگی بہت بے کار ہوگی۔ وہ کون سا آخری وقت تھا جب آپ نےخُدا کو کہا تھا کہ آپ اُس سے پیار کرتے ہیں؟ آپ نے کب یسُوع کے لیے محبت بھرا گیت گایا؟ قطع نظرکہ وہ عرصہ کتنا طویل یا قلیل تھا، آج بہترین وقت کہ آپ خُدا کو بتائیں کہ خُدا کی رحمت اور وہ آپ کےلیے کتنا قیمتی ہے، آپ کے لیے اُس کا فضل کتنا آزاد ہے، اور اُس کی محبت آپ کے لیے زندگی سے زیادہ کتنی اہم ہے۔
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Sounds like the words to some modern love song, doesn't it: "Your love is better than life." Well, it is a love song; it's just not modern. While in the desert, David spoke of his longing for the Lord. He recognized that life would be worthless if he had to live it without the love of God. When was the last time you told God you loved him? When was the last time you sang a love song to Jesus? No matter how long or short that time has been, today is THE perfect time to let God know how precious his mercy is to you, how liberating his grace is for you, and how his love is more important to you than life itself.
میری دعا
پیارے خُدا، تُو نے میرے لیے بہت قربانی دی ہے اور تُو نے مجھے بہت دیا ہے۔ میرے پاس اتنے الفاظ نہیں ہیں کہ میں شُکر ادا کروں، تعریف بیان کروں، سب سے بڑھ کر، تیرے لیے اپنی محبت کا اظہار کر سکوں۔ میرے دل کے جذبے اور عہد کو جانتے ہوئے میرے الفاظ کو قبول فرما جب میں یہ کہوں، " پیارے خُدا، میں تُم سے پیار کرتا ہوں"۔ یسُوع کے نام میں تیری حمد اور شُکر کرتا ہوں۔ آمین۔
My Prayer...
Loving Father, you have sacrificed so much for me and given so much to me. I do not have adequate words to express my thanks, appreciation, and most importantly, my love for you. But please receive my words knowing the commitment and passion of my heart when I say, "Dear God, I love you." In Jesus' name, I praise and thank you. Amen.
