بدلہ لینا معصوم اور مجرم کو تباہ کرنے کے لیے شیطان کا طریقہ ہے۔ ایک دفعہ انتقام اگر ترغیب بن جائے،زخمی پارٹی اچانک ہی غصے اور نفرت میں بہت بھاری قیمت ادا کرنی پڑتی ہے۔ یہ زہر کینہ پرور شخص کو چھُؤ کو ہر چیز میں پھیل جاتا ہے۔ زمین پر، ہم دیکھ سکتے ہیں کہ کامل اور مکمل انصاف نہیں پا سکتے، قطع نظر کہ عدالتی نظام کی"اچھائی" کسی جگہ پر ہو۔ لیکن خُدا نہ صرف انصاف کرتا ہے؛ بلکہ وہ ہمیں چھُڑاتا ہے: بلکہ وہ ہمیں جابر کے ہاتھوں سے چھُڑاتا ہے اور نفرت کرنے والے کے زہر سے چھُڑاتا ہے۔
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Revenge is Satan's way of destroying both the innocent and the offender. Once vengeance becomes the motivation, the wounded party can suddenly be swept up in rage and hatred. This poison spreads to everything the vengeful person touches. On earth, we can see that we will never find perfect and complete justice, no matter the "goodness" of the judicial system in place at the time. But God will not only bring justice; he will deliver us: deliver us from the hands of the oppressor and deliver us from the poison of hatred.
میری دعا
معاف کرنے والے خُداوند، وفادار محبت اور انصاف کے خُدا، میں تجھ سے مانگتا ہوں کہ تُو میری زمین کے عدالتی نظام میں کام کر۔ اِسے زیادہ منصفانہ اور سچا بنا۔ جو انصاف کو بیچتے اور طاقت سے اُس کو ختم کرتے ہیں اُن کو بے نقاب کرتشدد کرنے والے اور ظالم سے تُو اپنے ہاتھوں نمٹ۔ براہِ کرم، رُوح کی طاقت کے وسیلہ سے مجھے ابھار کہ میں دُوسروں کو معاف کروں اور تیرے انصاف کا انتظار کروں۔ مجھے معاف نہ کرنے والے اور کینہ پرور دل کے زہر سے بچا۔ ایسا ہو کہ اُن کے ساتھ جنہوں نے مجھے غلط قرار دیا میرا رویہ، حُسنِ سلوک، اور ردعمل تیرے بیٹے کو اُن کا نجات دہندہ بنا دے۔ یسُوع کے نام میں مانگتا ہوں۔ آمین۔
My Prayer...
Forgiving Lord, God of all justice and steadfast love, I ask you to be at work in the justice system of my land. Make it more equitable and true. Expose those who buy and sell justice and remove them from power. Deal with the violent and the oppressor with your mighty hand. Please, Lord, by the power of your Spirit, stir me to forgive others and to wait on your justice. Guard me from the poison of an unforgiving and vengeful heart. May my attitude, behavior, and response to those who wrong me help lead them to know your Son as their Savior. In his name, Jesus, that I pray. Amen.
