جب ہم ایمانداری کے ساتھ اندازہ لگاتے ہیں کہ ہم کہاں اپنا وقت لگاتے ہیں، اپنی دولت کہاں استعمال کرتے ہیں، ہم اکثر کس چیز کے بارے سوچتے ہیں، اور ہم اپنی بہترین جدوجہد کہاں لگاتے ہیں، ہم کیا حاصل کرتے ہیں؟ کیا خُدا ہمارے جذبے کا تصرف ہے؟ کیا وہ ہماری پہلی محبت ہے؟
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When we honestly evaluate where we use our time, how we spend our money, what we think about most frequently, and where we put forth our best efforts, what do we find? Is God our consuming passion? Is he our first love? Do we seek his presence always? God told his people, "Seek me and live..." (Amos 5:4, 6). Jesus' stepbrother, James, challenged us to "Come near to God and he will come near to you" (James 4:8). Yes, let's hear the call of David, the man after God's heart, when he says, "Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always."
میری دعا
اے قادر خُداوند، یہ مشکل ہے کہ میں تیرا چہرہ دیکھنے کے قابل نہیں ہوں، پھر بھی میں جانتا ہوں کہ میری غلطی تیری بے بیان پاکیزگی کی روشنی میں اُسے ناممکن بناتی ہے۔ جب تک میں تُجھے فردوس میں رُو برُو نہیں دیکھ لیتا، براہِ کرم جب میں اپنے دل سے تیری تلاش کروں تو تُو میری زندگی میں اپنی حضوری کو یقینی بنا۔ یسُوع کے نام میں مانگتا ہوں۔ آمین۔
My Prayer...
O mighty Lord, it is hard not to be able to see your face physically, yet I know my imperfection makes that impossible in light of your awesome holiness and majesty. Until that Day I see you face-to-face (1 John 3:1-3), please make your presence known in my life as I seek you with all of my heart. In Jesus' name, I ask this. Amen.
