گناہ نیا نہیں ہے۔ کلام کی صاف گوئی ہمیں یہ اجازت دیتی ہے کہ ہم ماضی میں خُدا کے لوگوں کی حماقت اور سرکشی کو دیکھیں۔ ہم اُن کے کھوئے ہوئے مواقعوں اور آفات سے احساس یافتہ ہو سکتے ہیں جو وہ اپنے اُوپر لائے۔ اور اِس کے علاوہ یہ یاد دہانی بھی کرسکتے ہیں کہ اکثر ہم میں اور اُن میں کتنا کم فرق ہوتا ہے۔
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Sin is nothing new. The candor of the Scriptures allows us to see the stupidity and rebelliousness of God's people in the past. We should be convicted by their lost opportunities and the disasters they brought upon themselves and not repeat their mistakes, rebelliousness, and sin. We should also be reminded how little difference there often is between them and us and renew our passion to follow God more faithfully!
میری دعا
اے باپ، میں جانتا ہوں کہ میرے گناہوں ، میری بغاوت، اور میرے بے وفائی نے تُجھے اور تیرے مقصد کوآہ زادہ کیا جیسا کہ انہوں نے کیا تھا جن کا گناہ ماضی میں بائبل میں درج ہے۔ براہِ کرم مجھے معاف کردے اور مجھے قوت بخش تاکہ میں ایسی پاک زندگی جیئوں جو کہ تیرے خوشنودی کا باعث ہو اور اُن کےلیے برکت کا وسیلہ ہو جو میرے چوگرد ہیں۔ یسُوع کے نام میں مانگتا ہوں۔ آمین۔
My Prayer...
Father, I know my sin, rebellion, and unfaithfulness have hurt you and your cause in my time as much as the sins of those in the Bible hurt your cause and people in the past. Please forgive and strengthen me as I seek to live a life holy and pleasing to you and a blessing to those around me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
