ہم اکثر گرجا گھروں، صلیبی جنگوں، اور ریلیوں کے لیے بڑے ہجوم کو اپنی طرف متوجہ کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں۔ یسُوع نے بھی بڑے ہجوم کو منادی کی۔ لیکن اُس کے شاگردوں کے لیے اُس کی مضبوط ترین تعلیمات ہجوم سے دُور ہوئیں، جب وہ اپنے شاگردوں کے ساتھ اکیلا تھا۔ ہجوم جو کچھ قبول کرتا ہے وہ پختہ شاگردوں کو اپنے نجات دہندہ کے ساتھ چلنے کےلیے اگلے مرحلے میں بُلانے کے لیے کافی نہیں ہے۔ چنانچہ یسُوع نے وعدہ کرنے والے شاگردوں کے چھوٹے گروہ کی انتہائی تعلیم کے لیے پیچھے ہجوم سے پیچھے ہُوا تاکہ وہ اُن کو پختہ کرے اور اُن کو مستقبل کے چیلنجز سے نمٹنے کےلیے تیار کرے۔
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
We often seek to attract large crowds to our churches, crusades, and rallies. Jesus also ministered to large crowds. However, the Lord's most passionate teaching on discipleship occurs away from the crowds when he is alone with his disciples. What the crowds can accept is not enough to call people to mature discipleship — to that next level in their walk with the Savior. But Jesus withdrew for intensive teaching with a small group of committed disciples to mature and prepare them for future challenges, even as great as his Passion.

پاک خُدا، براہِ کرم میرے مطالعہ بائبل کے گروہ کو اور اُن سب کو برکت دے جو کہ کسی بھی قیمت پر تیری پیروی کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ براہِ کرم چھوٹے گروہوں کی طرف میری راہنمائی فرما جن کے ساتھ میں اپنی زندگی کے بارے اظہار کر سکوں جن کے وسیلہ تُو مجھے چیلنج کر سکے کہ میں مسیِح کی ربوہیت پر ایمان میں اور زیادہ بڑھوں۔ یسُوع کے نام میں مانگتا ہوں۔ آمین۔
My Prayer...
Holy God, please bless the people in my Bible study group and everywhere seeking to follow you no matter the cost. Please lead me to a small group of believers with whom I can share my life and through whom you will challenge me to grow in my surrender to the Lordship of Christ so I can follow him in the way of the Cross. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
